Hi, everyone!
I hope you're having a wonderful week, and I hope you're able to take advantage of this amazing fall weather. Personally, I've broken out my sweaters, hoodies, and comfy blankets for the season! I can't wait for more cooler weather.
Today, I wanted to update everyone regarding Books & Gifts' upcoming book signings for the month of October. We have a FULL list for you, so make sure to put these on your calendar!
Book signings take place from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Saturday, October 1st - Rachael Bliss, "The Goddess of Promised Land: Genesis"

In "The Goddess of Promised Land: Genesis," anarchist Amanda Foster and her mother, who is still enmeshed in Jim Crow, disagree on what to do with an abandoned mysterious baby of color found in a back pasture of the Promised Land.
Amanda flees with the baby to a hidden sanctuary in Virginia so she can live in peace with her child. It is here where new love blossoms, but also more danger.
Saturday, October 8th - Jan Ellis, "Over the Circumstances"

"Over the Circumstances" is a book of engaging, relatable, true stories and observations about life that help readers learn biblical truths through human experiences. The author shares insights the Holy Spirit has opened to her as she observes the lessons that God has hidden in His creation and the everyday, mundane occurrences of life.
Whether it's making grape juice or giggling with her granddaughter, Bella, Jan Ellis is gifted in seeing and hearing spiritually through the Holy Spirit. She uses her closeness with Jesus to guide her life and see His hand in everything she does. Jan Ellis' laughter, joy, and ongoing inspiration leaves her readers unable to put this novel down.
Saturday, October 15th - Rick Toomey, "Power of Understanding: How Personality Influences Our Lives"

Emotional intelligence influences our ability to build strong relationships and achieve our goals. We can enhance emotional intelligence by learning to better understand ourselves and others.
"Power of Understanding" demonstrates how powerful the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is in helping us better understand how personality influences our behavior and the results we produce. It is an incredibly fascinating read!
Friday, October 21st - Jocelyn M. Lacey, "An Angel Named Johnia"

Johnia Berry is a sweet and beautiful young woman who has questions about where her journey leads her... Will she get her answers when she gets to Heaven?
This beautifully illustrated children's book was inspired by and is in loving memory of the author's friend and sorority sister, Johnia Hope Berry, whose life was cut short.
Saturday, October 22nd - Linda Hudson Hoagland, "A Lindsay Harris Murder Mystery Series"

Hoagland's murder mystery series about heroine Lindsay Harris tackles many different adventures. Her novels discover what "Snooping" can be, and so far, the character Lindsay Harris has found that "Snooping" can be “Contagious,” “Devious,” “Doggone Deadly,” “Helpful Sometimes,” “Scary,” “Uncomfortable” and “Regrettable.”
If you enjoy a fun and thrilling mystery with plot twists, look no further than Hoagland's impressive series!
