Meet Janie C. Jessee, CEO!
Janie created and grew an Appalachian-regional women's magazine (Voice Magazine for Women) and expanded the company into Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc.! She has over 35 years of experience in business from startups to acquisitions. Janie continues to be an inspiration to women everywhere who want to start their own business. When she isn't working, she enjoys traveling, playing doubles in tennis, and flying!
Meet Tara Sizemore, Senior Graphic Designer!
Tara got her Bachelor's degree from ETSU in Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design. She began her career as the Design Editor for a community newspaper. Then, in 2008, she became Senior Graphic Designer for Voice Magazine and Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc. Tara loves communication arts and has over 16 years of design experience!
Meet Savannah Bailey, Director of Communications!
Savannah graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2017 with a B.A. in English and a concentration in writing. She joined the JCP family just one month after graduating, and she feels extremely lucky to be a part of the company! Savannah enjoys writing fiction and poetry in her free time, as well as reading and playing tabletop RPGs.
Meet Allison Chudina, Editorial & Retail Assistant!
Allison recently graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.A. in English literature and a minor in Journalism and Electronic Media. She joined the JCP team this month, and she will be helming Bookmarked, as well as contributing to Voice Magazine and generally helping out around the new bookstore! She loves spending time with her cat, Rigby, as well as reading fantasy novels and going on nature walks.
