Hello, everyone!
For those of you who have patiently waited for another installment of Bookmarked, I'm pleased to announce that Jan-Carol Publishing's book-based blog is officially back!
We took a brief hiatus from the blog, but now we're back and better than ever! We have a lot of future plans for the blog, including connecting it to our upcoming PODCAST, which will also be called "Bookmarked."
We absolutely can't wait to share our podcast with the world, so stay tuned for updates on that. It will be available very soon!
What I really wanted to share with you all today, however, is that JCP will be publishing a brand new anthology series in 2024. Called "Steamy Creek: A Cozy Romance Anthology," this will be our first ever romance short story collection!
"Steamy Creek" will join our other in-house anthologies — our "These Haunted Hills" series; our Appalachian inspired short story collections with titles such as "Daffodil Dreams," "Scattered Flowers," and "Wild Daisies"; as well as our winter themed anthology, "Snowy Trails."
"Steamy Creek" is set for publication in February 2024, and we couldn't be more excited about it!
Stories submitted to "Steamy Creek" should be of the romance genre and must be fiction. Please include with your submission a short author bio. Author bios should be no more than 50 words and should be written in third person.
The submission fee per story is $20, and authors are allowed to submit a max of two stories. You may call the office at 423-926-9983 with a credit card number or mail a check to JCP. Stories must have a minimum of 1,500 words and a maximum of 3,500 words per story.
Authors accepted to the anthology will receive two free books upon publication!
The current deadline for submissions to "Steamy Creek: A Cozy Romance Anthology" is September 30, 2023, but we may extend it! Send your submissions to submissions@jancarolpublishing.com.
We'd love to give a platform to local creatives who want to see themselves published, and this is the perfect opportunity for that. Our anthologies are very popular, and we've built up a fanbase for them over the years! We'd love for you to become a part of our family.
Thank you so much for reading our first blog post in a while... We appreciate your continuous support, and I promise there are lots of fun things in store!
To wrap things up, I want to end with a poll.
