Back-to-School Books!

Updated: Aug 5, 2022

Good afternoon, everyone!

I hope you're all having a blessed day. Welcome back to Bookmarked!

Today, I'm going to start with a few exciting announcements and reminders. Our bookstore, Gifts & Books, will have its Grand Opening on August 27th from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Make sure to stop by! It'll be a very fun day, and there may be a few surprises in store!

Also, the August issue of Voice Magazine for Women is out now! You can click here to read it. We preview this year's Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion, which honors the legacy of the 1927 Bristol Sessions and their far-reaching influence on the music of today. This will take place on September 9-11!

Our last announcement concerns our Senior Graphic Designer, Tara! Tara was recognized during Spring 2022's The BookFest Awards due to her excellent cover design illustration for Courtnee Turner Hoyle's book, My Brother's Keeper. We want to congratulate Tara on her astounding work!

That wraps up this week's announcements, so now let's move on to today's blog.

Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc. would like to feature some of our back-to-schools books as we move into this exciting new school year! You can find these books on JCP's website or by searching for them on Amazon.

The first book we'd like to feature is called Marty Matters by Jessica Hayworth. This book deals with all the difficult challenges a middle school boy may face, such as bullying and moving to a new school! You can find the book on Amazon here.

The next book we'd like to highlight is called Heart of Hearing by Meaghan Thomas. It is an entertaining story for children that encourages them to wear their hearing aids. It helps hearing children understand why it's important to wear their aids! A portion of the proceeds go directly to the non-profit, The Heart of Hearing, Inc., which was created by Thomas herself. It can be found here!

Lastly, we'd like to call attention to the book The Crayon (W)Rapper by Cheryl Livingston. This children's book follows a cheery crayon known as the Crayon Rapper as he uses rhyming patterns in a "rap" music beat to describe the adventures of his multi-hued pals, teaching children to learn colors! It can be found on Amazon here.

If you're interested in any of these back-to-school books, please check them out either on Amazon or by searching for them on the JCP website!

Sound off in the comment section below if you've read any of these books yet! We'd love to hear from you!

And, remember to check back in with us next Thursday for another blog post!
