Upcoming Releases, Author Interviews, and More!

Good afternoon, everyone!

I hope you're all still doing well this week and can find time to enjoy the outdoors, even with the cold weather. Where I live, it's starting to warm up a little from last week's winter weather, and I'm very much excited for that. I loved seeing all the snow, but I admit I'll be grateful when we finally enter Spring.

Today, I want to give readers a sneak peek at what's coming up for JCP as a company. This week's podcast episode, which comes out Friday, features Draco and I discussing upcoming releases, submission requirements for manuscripts, and upcoming author interviews on the podcast. You definitely will want to give it a listen! We give a lot of important updates regarding all things JCP.

Without giving away too much, I did want to mention a few things discussed in the podcast this week for those who may not have the time to listen, or for those who prefer seeing written updates.

Steamy Creek: A Cozy Romance Anthology is JCP's first romance anthology collection, and we're all so excited for it! Having a romance collection is new territory for us, but luckily, several talented authors submitted stories, and we've compiled a great lineup! The anthology should become available to pre-order very soon, so keep an eye on that, and we will continue to update you as well.

Submissions for our annual horror anthology collection, These Haunted Hills, will open up toward the end of February this year, and we can't wait to see what you all submit! This will be our sixth installment in that series, and it's a personal favorite of mine. So, to all the horror and thriller fans out there, be thinking of story ideas you can submit to our anthology. I can't wait to read your wonderful creations.

Next, I want to mention that next week, our podcast will feature an incredible interview with author Rosie Hartwig-Benson, who wrote the novel Petals of Distinction, which is a very personal memoir about Rosie's heart-rending journey into her mind, body, and soul. Rosie tells the story of being stricken with a silent disease paralyzing her stomach and how she's been able to maintain a positive outlook on life. It's a story everyone would benefit from reading.

Again, this interview can be found in next week's podcast episode on February 2nd. Also, I will feature a brief Q&A with Rosie in next Wednesday's blog post, so be sure to read that, too.

Bookmarked will be featuring a lot of upcoming author interviews, including with Nancy Withington Bell, Rick Toomey, and Miles and Nikki Burdine. To hear more about this, listen to Friday's podcast episode! Draco and I discuss what we're most looking forward to.

In Friday's podcast episode, I also preview a few upcoming releases and talk about manuscripts I've been working on. To hear about these releases, you'll have to give our podcast a listen! I've been editing a lot of manuscripts recently that I can't wait for everyone to be able to read and access. 2024 is going to be a great year for our authors!

You can also learn about JCP's manuscript submission requirements by listening to Friday's podcast episode for those of you wanting to get your novel published in this new year. To find a written list of these requirements, you can visit JCP's website here.

Lastly, I wanted to end with a poll. What are you most excited for moving forward regarding JCP?
