Spring Reading Recommendations!

Good afternoon, everyone!

Today, in honor of spring being less than two weeks away, I thought I'd recommend a few of Jan-Carol Publishing's seasonal reads, along with our many spring anthology collections.

This Friday, on our podcast, we will be recommending even more spring reads and going into detail about each book! So, please tune in for that! We'll be offering extra information you won't want to miss.

  1. The first spring read I wanted to mention is called Clancy, by Jacqueline Krafft.

A young boy's morning has a foggy start when a baby cloud by the name of Clancy tumbles from the sky. Can the children and their teacher find a way to get Clancy back home to his parents?

This adorable read is beautifully illustrated by Amanda Blickensderfer and can be enjoyed by the whole family! Purchase it here.

2. The next recommendation I have for you is My Favorite Season is Spring, written by Patrice Wilkerson.

This story is a beautifully illustrated picture book that every child can connect to and love!

Through rhythm and rhyme, take a fun and exciting journey with little Susie as she describes her favorite season. She finds so many fun things to do, and she loves the outdoors. By the end of this book, you will too!

This story is a very engaging teaching tool for children to learn about spring.

3. My third spring read I wanted to recommend is called Buddy, also by Jacqueline Krafft.

Buddy, a beautiful leaf, tells the story of his own struggle for patience and acceptance of his situation. Buddy learns the importance of responsibility to his family. Rich in vocabulary and loaded with vibrant illustrations, parents will love this book for their kids! The young imaginations will take flight, and children's observances about the active world around them will be greatly enhanced.

The author hopes that Buddy's story will serve as a learning tool for readers. It is a book about seasons, science, and color appreciation, with gorgeous illustrations. You can buy it online here.

4. My final recommendation for today is any of JCP's spring anthologies!

We are currently offering a "spring bundle" featuring all five of JCP's spring anthology collections pictured in this photo for only $40.

Our anthologies feature gripping stories about love, loss, and endurance. These Appalachian-inspired collections are full of strong women and stunning Appalachian settings.

You can purchase our bundle here. Or, visit our website if you'd like to purchase any of the collections individually.

Thanks to everyone who took time out of their day to read this blog post, and come back next Wednesday for more bookish content! And again, listen to our podcast this Friday for more spring reading recommendations.

Have a fantastic week, and don't forget to change your clocks on Sunday for Daylight Savings!
